Abstract (English):
Introduction: The article discusses the changes made to the Criminal Procedure Code of the Russian Federation by Federal Law No. 672 -FZ of December 25, 2023 regarding the delivery of a copy of the indictment (act, resolution) to the accused, defender and victim in electronic form. Materials and Methods: The normative basis of the study is formed by the Constitution of the Russian Federation, criminal procedure legislation, local regulations governing the use of technical devices in pre-trial detention facilities, materials of judicial practice. The methodological basis of the research was the general dialectical method of cognition, logical deduction, and induction. The Results of the Study: allowed us to determine the procedure for handing over a copy of the indictment in the form of an electronic document. Findings and Conclusions: proposed measures aimed at perfecting legislation governing the procedure for serving a copy of the indictment as an electronic document.
