Abstract: The study is based on a detailed analysis of the influence of external and internal factors on the state of the operational situation. The theoretical basis of the research was made up of sources of specialized literature, author's articles, standard expert methods and algorithms. The methods used are the method of cognition, as well as description and analysis. In this article, the author proposes an algorithm for a comprehensive analysis of the operational situation in the context of preparation for the use of forces and means of the territorial body of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. The article focuses on the existing problems of organizing information and analytical work and suggests ways to solve them. In the final part, the author considers the main directions for improving the effective use of forces and means of territorial internal affairs bodies, taking into account the qualitative analysis of the operational situation.
