This article discusses the issues of strengthening the procedural provisions of the investigator, his procedural autonomy and independence that is now essential for the successful investigation of crimes. Infringement of the independence and procedural autonomy of the investigator in any form contrary to the law, and serves as a basis for reducing initiatives investigator in the investigation of criminal cases, which in turn creates the conditions for the reduction of personal responsibility for decisions of the investigator and the criminal investigation as a whole
