The article examines the inspection of the scene of the incident using special knowledge in the investigation of arson attack on vehicles. The authors touch upon the peculiarities of inspecting the fire site in severe climatic conditions (on the example of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District), the conclusion was made about the importance of applying special knowledge.
