Introduction. The article discusses the priority areas of interaction between the Forensic Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation and the Higher School of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation in the field of training qualified specialists in the field of forensic auto-technical expertise. Methods and Materials. Analysis of expert practice, the activities of the Expert Support Center for criminal cases related to traffic accidents, training programs and the learning process in educational organizations, the experience of cooperation between the Expert Support Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation and the Higher School of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, regulatory legal acts, materials of scientific conferences, scientific papers, and articles. The Results of the Study. Optimization of cooperation between the Expert Support Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation and the Higher School of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation in order to improve the training of specialists in the field of forensic auto-technical expertise. Findings and Conclusions. The training of expert personnel for internal affairs bodies in modern conditions requires the implementation of a practice-oriented approach. Cooperation in this area is a priority area of interaction between the ECC of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation and the VSI of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.
