Introduction: Other measures of a criminal legal nature are one of the levers of the criminal legal mechanism, allowing for a harmonious combination of punitive and incentive effects. At the same time, recently the question of their effectiveness has been increasingly raised, due in one case to a reduction in the number of facts of their use, in another - to the nuances of legislative regulation. Materials and Methods: The research used the work of domestic scientists, criminal statistics, and regulatory documents. When writing the article, general scientific methods were used: a systematic approach, induction, analogy, analysis, synthesis, as well as the private scientific method of extrapolation, which made it possible to obtain the main results of the study. The Results of the Study: An analysis of statistical data reflecting the results of the application of criminal law norms on other measures of a criminal legal nature was carried out, both in terms of changes in indicators in dynamics and structure, and in terms of the repeated commission of crimes and socially dangerous acts by persons to whom such measures were applied . Findings and Conclusions: Conclusions are drawn about a fairly high level of their effectiveness and prospects for further development. It is indicated that the procedure for applying other measures of a criminal law nature requires refinement, and the status of some of them also requires clarification, which affects the quality of their application.
