The article deals with the organization of interaction of the investigator in the investigation of theft in the sphere of housing and communal services. The relevance of the topic of this article is due to the fact that in the conditions of economic reforms the housing and communal sphere was among the most criminalized. In order to timely identify and effectively investigate theft in the housing sector, it is necessary to implement the interaction of the preliminary investigation with other services of the internal Affairs bodies, law enforcement agencies and Executive authorities. It is noted that the effectiveness of interaction depends on the initiative of the investigator and the correctness of his requests. The activities of the investigator on the organization of interaction should be based on the principles of initiative, equality, mutual assistance, information security and confidentiality, as well as taking into account the interests of the subjects involved in the interaction in compliance with the requirements of the legislation of the Russian Federation.
