%K This article examines the potential of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in solving and investigating a specific crime, such as illegal logging. The relevance of this study stems from the insufficient level of research and development in both theoretical and practical literature, which poses challenges in effectively utilizing the wide range of capabilities available from this technology. The author thoroughly examines and explores the potential applications of UAVs, taking into account their functionality in conducting raids, organizing hot pursuits and searches, conducting crime scene inspections and surveying areas, delivering necessary cargo, and monitoring an area or object through the lens of the specifics of combating illegal logging. The author concludes that this technology offers significant potential and addresses existing challenges for its active use, aiming to decriminalize the forestry industry by improving the effectiveness of certain investigative actions and operational searches.
